The Euro-Lebanese Centre for Industrial Modernisation (ELCIM) at the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) recently organized a highly successful cross-border brokerage event from April 25th to 28th, 2023, which brought together innovators from Lebanon, Italy, Tunisia, and Greece. These young innovators worked in the Dairy, Bio/Nanotechnology, and ICT applied to the Dairy Value Chain sectors.

The primary objective of the Cross-Border Brokerage Event was to create meaningful connections between businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs from different countries, thereby providing a unique opportunity to explore potential collaborations and expand their business horizons.

Amidst the buzz, the one-to-one matchmaking sessions stole the spotlight, enabling participants to forge connections with potential partners and economic organizations, paving the way for thrilling business opportunities.

The event's opening keynote address was given by Mr. Naji Abi Zeid, director of ELCIM, who emphasized the importance of cross-border partnerships and cooperation in today's globalized world. Following this, Dairy and ICT specialists shared their proposed solutions to decrease delivery times, waste, and logistic costs, and improve the quality and safety of milk and dairy products.   

At the end of the event, the Lebanese partner of the TRANSDAIRY project announced the winners of vouchers for co-patents, demonstrations, and spin-offs. These vouchers will help the winners fund the advancement of their ideas.
