The aim of the workshop was to bring together academics, civil society representatives, and policymakers from Europe and the region to share inspiring examples of activities supporting urban transition and regeneration and to promote interactive discussions among the participants.

Researchers of the Cyprus Institute, the National Observatory of Athens, the University of Coimbra, the University of Parma, and the Royal Danish Academy gave a series of presentations of successful projects and relevant initiatives, while European Council representatives highlighted policy and investment initiatives.

The workshop concluded with a panel discussion on how to support urban transition in the EMME region towards the achievement of climate-proof and thriving societies.
