From May 31st  until June 2nd , the FIRA (Barcelona Convention Centre) will host an unmissable event for international logistics and transport industry members. La Escola Europea Intermodal Transport together with the Port of Barcelona will be present at the International Logistics Exhibition (stand number #F665) offering information about their occupational training programs and academic training platforms in the framework of the YEP MED Project.

YEP MED (Youth Employment in Ports of the Mediterranean) is one of the projects coordinated by the Escola Europea. Oriented to the management of academic skills and tools, it aims at training better-trained professionals and linked to the real needs of the Mediterranean port communities, offering as a result, an effective source of employment generation.

Currently, the YEP MED network has increased its value and influence by adding each year more participants from areas related to logistics and international transport who have the opportunity to interact with the project through the courses offered by Escola Europea.

The Escola Europea does not skimp on resources and for this occasion, visitors to the international fair will also have the opportunity to learn more about YEP MED project and the Port Virtual Lab (PVL) (the virtual port platform developed by the Escola Europea), a meeting point for all those who seek to develop their knowledge in logistics and international transport.

Good ideas add committed collaborators. La Escola Europea has happily witnessed the evolution of a special number of human talents. Those who were participants in the courses once are now involved in training activities for new members of the YEP MED project. They will share with the attendees their experience as participants in the project activities and how training and internships with local companies have changed their professional life.

Using the PVL and its various simulated companies, freight forwarders, and shipping companies, among others, the participants have been able to test a variety of tools that invite them to get immersed in the day-to-day operations of international trade.
