“Young people for Mediterranean cooperation": register now to our workshop at the European Week of Regions and Cities

We are happy to announce that we will be holding a workshop under the title “Young people for Mediterranean cooperation" on Thursday, 13th of October (11:30-13:00 CET) during the European Week of Regions and Cities.

As 2022 marks the European Year of Youth, it's time to take stock of the involvement of young people to cooperation projects and initiatives supported by the European Union, especially those implemented across the Mediterranean region under the European Neighbourhood Policy. The workshop will showcase inspiring stories of young people from both sides of the Mediterranean and celebrate their contribution to positive and constructive Euro-Mediterranean relations. 

The discussion will be moderated by Joumana Sweiss, officer at the ENI CBC Med Branch Office for the Western Mediterranean, and will feature the following speakers:

  • Alba Luz Donaire Parra, Project manager from Spain at 'Jovesólides' in charge of the ENI CBC Med-funded InnovAgroWoMed” project;
  • Nada Elsharkawy, Communication Specialist and Junior Project Manager at the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations in charge of various ENI CBC Med proects, including CRE@CTIVE, TECHLOG, EMPHASIS, etc. 
  • Mohamed Fadel Hamza, young Tunisian graduate and beneficiary of the RESMYLE project;
  • Alessandro Agnitti, Italian university student and member of the Mediterranean Youth Council.

Simultaneous translation will be available in Arabic, English and French.

About the European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. It has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including politicians, administrators, experts and academics. Over the last 19 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and the exchange of good practice.
