اليونان: الورشة التوعوية الثانية لمشروع IPMED حول حقوق الملكية الفكرية

The 2nd IPMED awareness session was held on September 3rd virtually using Zoom Platform by Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Greek partner.

The main aim of conducting the awareness session is to enable the attendees facilitate access to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), enhance commercialization, and strengthen IPR-related knowledge and awareness.

34 persons representing start-ups, MSMEs, young and women entrepreneurs, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, a local Development Agency, a Sectoral Business Association and The Center for Research and Technology Hellas attended the online session.

Mr. Konstantinos Moraitidis, member of the Administrative Committee of the TCCI welcomed the participants and underlined the importance of IPR for business.

Mr. Antonios Boumpoulas TCCI Head of Studies and Research Department, explained IPMED's mission along with its activities.

Mrs. Maria Vastaroucha, Lawyer (NOMOS Law Firm), focused on “Trademarks and indications of geographical origin as intangible assets for business development’’.

IPMED project is implemented by a consortium of organizations where JEDCO of Jordan is the leader, and in partnership with Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Greece, FILSE in Italy, Agora Institute in Spain and Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tunisia. The project's budget is 1.194 million euros, funded by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for the Mediterranean Basin within the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI CBCMED), to develop small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promote economic and social development and support innovative entrepreneurs’ projects.
