Diverse ideas and projects were presented and defended by 38 candidates, ranging from the exploitation of grape pomace in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries, to the exploitation of biomass in animal food or composting or in other farms in the fields of gastronomy or renewable energies.

As part of the incubation programme organized by BESTMEDGRAPE, in Jordan a selection was conducted to find the final beneficiaries of the project. 

Indeed, the JSSREC (Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity), after releasing the call for applications for the selection of candidates, organized multiple information physical sessions concerning the various organizations of farmers, CEOs of leadership, entrepreneurship companies, environment sectors, universities of engineers, biologists, and other specialties.

A diverse range of profiles participated in the call for applications and the project received in Jordan 38 candidates for the incubation program. 

The 38 candidates presented with different levels of advancement, some were in the ideation phase, others in the study phase, and others in the prototyping or production phase, and the age of the candidates was 18 and above.

According to a preset evaluation grid and after a tight competition, 30 candidates were selected to be part of the BESTMEDGRAPE project's incubation program. 

The enthusiasm and strong interest of the candidates was a source of inspiration for the jury which confirms that these candidates will be worthy operators of innovation and change in the Jordanian and Mediterranean economic ecosystem.
