The training model of the InnovAgroWoMed project is about to be finalized. Research teams in Italy, Spain, Tunisia and Palestine have spent months of work analyzing and exploring the agri-food sector in the rural areas concerned in these four (04) countries and the place of women therein.

They identified the value chains that could be of interest to potential project beneficiaries, and on which the project can focus: Agroecological raw products and processed ones in Spain; wine and fruit & vegetable supply chains in Italy; processed food and dairy products in Palestine; and fisheries products & dairy products (especially cheeses) in Tunisia.

The value chains identified in Tunisia will be highlighted in this interview given at the end of January 2021 by the Tunisia research team to the project's communication team in order to better explain the training model to the project public, to talk more about the value chains identified in Tunisia in Beja (North-West of the country) and Medenine (South-East of the country) and to give more information to potential beneficiaries on the opportunities of InnovAgroWoMed in Tunisia.

The interview was also an opportunity to talk about the team's plans to mitigate the impact of the pandemic in 2021 and to move on to the training sessions and other activities planned in the project despite the health situation.

Interview conducted by Hana Trabelsi (Communication Team Leader of the InnovAgroWoMed) for the ENI CBC Med website, with guests Serena Romano, Fatma Mselmi, Marouane Chikhaoui (Research team-InnovAgroWoMed) and Hedi Bchir (Project Manager-InnovAgroWoMed).
