MEDISS Tunisian partner Institut des Régions Arides (IRA) de Médenine, took part inthe stakeholder workshop on the topic “Changing the Paradigme for Wastewater Reuse” organized by the AQUACYCLE project on 22 September in Sidi Amor. It represents a further example of the cooperation within ENI CBC Med projects operating in the framework “Towards Sustainable Treatment and Reuse of Wastewater in the Mediterranean Region”.

The event was organized at the Groupement de Développement Agricole (GDA) Sidi Amor by the Centre International des Technologies de l'Environnement de Tunis (CITET) and the Centre des Recherches et des Technologies des Eaux (CERTE).

The participants in the event covered a multitude of stakeholders in Tunisia, representing both public and private organizations concerned by the use of unconventional water resources, wastewater treatment plants operators as well as the scientific research community.

The workshop aimed to involve them on the issues and challenges related to the treated wastewater reuse and the possible solutione to overcome them. It has represented  also an opportunity to discuss and collect feedbacks and expectations about AQUACYCLE project outcomes, that are in line with MEDISS ones: facing water shortage through innovative technologies which will allow to take full advantage of unconventional resources, regularly discarded.

Thanks to AQUACYCLE for this opportunity!
