On the 17th of January 2020, La Marsa Municipality and the MEGARA network of sustainable cities organized the local kick-off meeting of the MED-InA project in Tunisia.

This city was chosen as pilot site for testing and implementing Zero Waste methodologies and strategies adapted to its specific context. The objective of the Municipality is to reinforce its waste management plan as well as to support citizens towards more responsible behaviors in terms of waste.

As part of the project, start-ups from the circular economy sector will be encouraged to develop innovative solutions to upgrade local waste management capacities.

MED-InA project aims to make La Marsa a Zero Waste Mediterranean city model within the framework of the priciples of circular economy.
