The MED-InA project has been officially launched in the city of Irbid in Jordan. 

This city was chosen as pilot site for testing and implementing Zero Waste methodologies and strategies adapted to its specific context. The objective of the Greater Irbid Municipality is to reinforce its waste management plan as well as to support citizens towards more responsible behaviors in terms of waste.

As part of the project, start-ups from the circular economy sector will be encouraged to develop innovative solutions to upgrade local waste management capacities.
MED-InA project aims to make Irbid a Zero Waste Mediterranean city model within the framework of the principles of circular economy.

Following the launching event, the Mayor of the city Hussein Bani Hani welcomed E3D-Environnement, the lead partner of the MED-InA project, with the aim of quickly starting MED-InA activities in Irbid. 

With the support of the Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Greater Irbid Municipality, E3D-environnement discovered the specific context of the city of Irbid and met with the people involved in local waste management. The aim of this working visit was also to meet citizens and to understand better their habits and needs in terms of waste.
