Researchers from the Consejo Superior de Investigaciónes Científicas (CSIC), one of the Spanish partners of CEOMED, have published an interesting scientific article in the Biomass Conversion & Biorefinery scientific newspaper.

In this article, the authors analyse if the feedstock seasonality affect in the anaerobic digestion process which is used for composting organic waste. It does affect mainly for fruit and vegetable waste. They have demonstrated that waste mixtures produced in spring present higher methane production than in autumn/winter and summer.
