Within the framework of the FruitFlyNet-ii project, Engineer Flora Moreno, the technical manager at Etsiam - Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y de Montes, University of Cordoba, Spanish partner of the project, presented her master's degree final work. The research conducted thus far focused on the operation of electronic traps, optimizing the choice of trap for monitoring olive flies, and the future implementation of these techniques in the field to enhance decision-making in pest control. The grade awarded to the work by the board was a 10 with honors for the quality of the work, the presented results, and the importance of the project for the sector. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the FruitFlyNet-ii project and the ENI CBC Med Programme for their unwavering support and the valuable opportunities they have provided for research in this sector.
