Birzeit University, an active INNOMED-UP Project Partner, from Palestine, developed an awareness campaign on the concept of Circular Economy in the Mediterranean and the delivered technical training seminars for the interested Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs) SMEs in Hebron & Nablus. Several students and volunteers from the University supported these great efforts.
Especially, this campaign addresses the Mediterranean needs and highlights the necessity of shifting from a linear economy to circular as well as the advantages in a socio-urban environment.

The Medina of Tunis, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts several industries such as carpentry, copper and silver industries, that produce a lot of waste. This waste will be re-exploited and valued through INNOMED-UP project and give an opportunity for the young people to come up with innovative products.
