RESMYLE in Lebanon: listen to Malak & her ECOSMART cheese project

Malak Rammal, a 21 years old Speech Therapist in Lebanon.

As many Lebanese residents, Malak and her family searched for means to sustain in challenging living conditions and came up with a brilliant idea of producing dairy products that can be preserved outside the fridge, thus endure the electricity shortage and save the energy consumption for both the producer and the consumer.

As a young entrepreneur, and with a Climate Smart Product idea, Malak heard about this project and decided to apply for “EcoNitia” Incubator, implemented by Association for the Development of Rural Capacities (ADR), in the framework of RESMYLE project.

Malak benefited immensely from her participation in “EcoNitia”, stating that it facilitated transforming her project from a simple idea to an applicable project.
Malak’s project can be very popular, especially for Lebanese residents who suffer from rotting products due to continuous electricity shortage and absence, and she was looking for ways to apply this project to benefit her surroundings and fellow citizens. “EcoNitia” provided her with the right tools and designs in order to implement and custom her project.

Malak had the idea, she just needed directions and guidance to launch her project, to serve her community with a sustainable plan that would help in the future, and “EcoNitia” presented this opportunity.
