Atelier d'introduction au BEEP en Palestine

The Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) organised in collaboration with PALSSES an introductory Workshop on 22nd July 2020 at the CCHP offices and via zoom application. Representatives from Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA), NGOs, and private companies attended the workshop.

Arch. Issam Juha opened the workshop welcoming the guests. He gave a speech on the BEEP project, funding, partners, objectives, and outputs, highlighting the importance of implementing this kind of project.

Eng. Anwar Hilal, PALSSES (associated partner) presented about the the organisation role, the challenges in the project, and the importance of the supportive role of relevant formal and informal institutions in this project.

CCHP engineers, Arch. Eyad Abo Zalaf and Arch. Lina Al-Araj, gave a presentation about the project work packages, BIM model and the activities done in the previous period.

Eng. Yazan Shamrouhk gave a presentation on the BIM model highlighting the Energy efficiency component.

Eng. Basil, PENRA, expressed his authority’s willingness to cooperate in implementing the project and stressed on the importance outputs of the project to the energy sector. He has suggested to establish local steering committees for the project. 

Other interventions and questions took place from various local associations and individuals, expressing their eager to be part of such innovative project.
