In Italy and Egypt, over 15 trainers have already benefited from the learning sessions. In Lebanon, Tunisia and Palestine, the trainings are being performed in coordination with the EU-funded SwitchMed programme, with the aim of enhancing synergies among the Business Support Organizations in the region.

The Trainings of Trainers (ToTs), carried out by ARC-SCP/RAC, consist in a series of webinars providing conceptual content and resources on:

• Sustainable Business Model Development 
• Sustainable Business Plan Development (including an introduction to the MEAL system)
• Product and Service Eco-Design
• Access to Market and Access to Finance

It was also the occasion for ARC-SCP/RAC to present TheSwithers.org webplatform, a learning and business development management system enabling interaction among entrepreneurs, business providers, mentors and financial institutions willing to develop novel business models in the domain of Green and Circular Economy.  

This webplatform will provide free access to a range of sustainable business development tools designed for entrepreneurs and business support organizations. The trainings are expected to be completed in January 2021. By then, the calls for entrepreneurs will be launched by the GIMED’s partners in their regions.

200 entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures will be trained according to the methodologies transferred during these ToTs and the best ideas and projects will be selected for a 7,500 Euro grant.
