GreenBuilding met en évidence les défis et les opportunités liés à l'utilisation des sources d'énergie renouvelables (SER) dans les bâtiments publics!

On March 24, 2021, the 1st workshop for GreenBuilding project held online, entitled "GreenBuilding, Challenges and Opportunities" and was organized by Jordan University of Science and Technology. GreenBuilding project addresses common challenges in environment and it is built on the priority to support cost-effective and innovative energy rehabilitations relevant to building types and climatic zones, with a focus on public buildings, under the ENI CBC MED Programme. 


Dr. Abdoul Rjoub (Jordan University), Prof. Lluis F. Marsal (Universitat Rovira i Virgili), Mr. Farah Gageesh (Izzat Marjji Group, Jordan), Eng. Mohammad Nashwan (Nashwan Energy, Amman, Jordan), Dr. Esmat Karadsheh (ENI CBC MED Programme Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office Coordinator), representative from JEA (Jordan) and Eng. Muhi Tawalbeh (Royal Scientific Society, Jordan) contributed to describe the opportunities and challenges at reducing energy consumption and adverse environmental impact, by using RES and energy efficiency measures in public buildings.


After the presentation of the GreenBuilding project, the keynote speakers and participants discussed on the current progress and future perspectives in polymer solar cells, the challenges facing the renewable energy sector in Jordan and possible solutions, the environmental impact of renewable energy and ease of access, the benefits from European projects in renewable energy and finally, the Energy Building Codes and the Energy Policy and Regulations.
