The InnovAgroWoMed project coordinators and other representatives of the communication and research teams held a meeting to take stock of what has been achieved during the first year of the project, such as the communication supports and activities for the project, the awareness campaign, the research outputs, particularly those related to the training model which will be launched very soon and will benefit the potential beneficiaries of this project, women in the agri-food sector in rural areas in Italy, Spain, Tunisia and Palestine, with a variety of assistance and support for financial autonomy and professional and social inclusion.

This meeting was also an opportunity to look ahead to the new year 2021 while taking into consideration the various current and possible repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic which may make the face-to-face training sessions programmed in the project and other awareness activities rather difficult.

Alternative plans to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the project implementation plan were proposed during the meeting and will be further discussed in the following days.

Several B plans are being discussed such as the combination of face-to-face and virtual approaches. Whatever the conditions, the teams are determined to make the training sessions and all the InnovAgroWoMed project activities a success.
