This meeting  emphasized the obvious potential for synergies between the objectives and the processes of MED GAIMS´ and IPMED's mandate, tasks and activities.

Among the several topics of the meeting, the teams discussed organizing joint specialized training and awareness workshops in order to reach larger target audience who can benefit from both projects' services.

The Coordination teams presented the progress of both projects and the effective ways to start implementing the expected collaboration actions based on the current projects' achievements.

They also agreed on exchanging and co-developing the methodologies used to communicate, reach and engage the most niche audience in the target communities for both projects; therefore they agreed to start preparing a synergy agreement to be signed within the coming couple of weeks.

IPMED project is beingimplemented through (JEDCO) as a leader in partnership with Greece, Italy, Spain and Tunisia through a total of 1.194 million euros funded by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for the Mediterranean Basin within the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI CBCMED), in order to develop small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promote economic and social development and support innovative entrepreneurs’ projects for three years.

MED GAIMS project is being implemented in Lebanon as a leader in partnership with Spain, Italy and Jordan through a total of 2.3 million euros funded by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for the Mediterranean Basin within the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI CBCMED), in order to conceptualize and implement games, through self-employment or startups, for both high (technological) and low-skilled (manual, organizational) individuals, new employment or business opportunities will be created for young people, women and local SMEs.
