MEDISS en Tunisie présente une étude sur les risques de contamination des eaux souterraines de l'aquifère en Tunisie

MEDISS Tunisian partner, Institut des Régions Arides de Médenine (IRA Médenine), held a workshop to present a study concerning the groundwater contamination of the Smar aquifer in Southeast Tunisia.

The workshop took place on 8 July 2021 in the Laboratory of Eremology and Desertification Control of the Médénine regional directorate of water resources. The laboratory brought together environmental specialists, farmers and policy makers.

IRA Médenine scientific team presented a lecture in French on hydrogeology entitled “Proposition de méthodologie d’intervention: aspects risques de contamination de la nappe de Smar de Médenine,Tunisia’’ (Souid et al.) through which it shared their experience in the field of environmental risks caused by wastewater discharge.
 

The workshop successfully harnessed the enthusiasm and experience of participants and reached wide-ranging consensus.
