Meet iHERITAGE Project Partner in Italy: University of Palermo - Department of Architecture

Today we get to meet Rosella, who is representing the iHERITAGE project partner, the University of Palermo!

The University of Palermo (UNIPA) is an Italian public higher education institution established in 1806, with origins tracing may back to 1498. Today, the University has grown to a size of over 2000 lecturers and 50,000 students, with research being conducted in all major fields of study. The institution has actively participated in international cooperation programmes in recent years, such as the ENI CBC MED Program.

As iHERITAGE partner, UNIPA aims to qualify and improve the level of information, communication and use of the UNESCO heritage relating to the Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale, which includes civil and religious buildings and infrastructures dating back to the era of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily and so much more!
