The European Researchers’ Night, is an annual event that aims to encourage the public to become familiar with the world of science and research and its innovative outcomes and their important role in society. This is an inclusive event that provides the opportunity to everyone regardless of age, gender, educational or social level to meet and interact with professionals from research institutions to get familiarized with activities carried out in these organizations. More than 1,500,000 visitors take part each year in this science and research festival, which takes place every last Friday in September in more than 350 cities across Europe.

In Cyprus, this year’s Researchers’ Night event, with the title ENGAGE – European Researchers’ Night: the green and digital age!, has been organized, online, by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) on the 24th of September 2021, in collaboration with the main stakeholders of the local research and innovation ecosystem. Through its participation in the European Researchers’ Night, the Cyprus Institute (CYI), a partner of U-SOLVE as well as an important stakeholder in the local research and innovation ecosystem, presented its main focus areas related to Innovation and Entrepreneurship and showcased the project U-SOLVE as the flagship initiative for the implementation of its broader strategy towards sustainable development.
