CROSSDEV, MED GAIMS, MED PEARLS and MEDUSA – the four ENI CBC MED projects focused on sustainable tourism – are happy to announce a joint online mid-term conference aimed at sharing objectives, experiences, results, and good practices achieved so far in the fields of technology sustainable and slow tourism. This event, to take place on 1st of December from 9 AM (CET), also aims at being a gathering point for sustainable tourism stakeholders across the region, as they will have the opportunity to network among them in the last part of the session.

Synergies and collaborations among the four projects have started since the very beginning of the implementation phase in the eight involved countries – Egypt, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Spain, and Tunisia – and their paths have crossed multiple times while creating new sustainable experiences for Mediterranean tourists, with special focus on adventure, slow tourism, gamification, and cultural routes.

During the event, the four projects will present their results while looking at the final phase of implementation, with a session dedicated to new technologies and the digitalization of the tourism industry.

The event will also be an occasion to present their newest project: RESTART MED! – a capitalization project that will be implemented by the teams behind CROSSDEV, MED GAIMS, MED PEARLS and MEDUSA (among other partners) and which is designed to enhance their successful experiences as well as other crucial sustainable tourism projects of the Southern Mediterranean area.

At the end of the event, a one-hour B2B session will allow participants to get in touch with tourism professionals from around the Mediterranean, encouraging networking and possible new business opportunities.

The event is mostly aimed at local, national and international authorities, institutions and tourism stakeholders that are interested in new ideas and technology applications to reach sustainable tourism. However, anyone can register to take part to the online webinar only, or to the B2B too.

The event will be held on Zoom and live streamed on MEDUSA Facebook page.
