The exhibition and storytelling event "TRAME. Success tales of textile, fashion, and design creatives" featured five young and successful Palermo companies linked by their creative use of techniques, approaches, and materials: Casa Preti, Martina Ciaccio, Desadorna, More, Rizma.

The event was organised at the 9th edition of the IDesign Palermo exhibition in Italy, from the 2nd to the 6th of November by ARCA,  the Consortium for the Application of Research and the Creation of Innovative Companies, in the frame of the EU funded CRE@CTIVE project.

CRE@CTIVE is aiming to foster creativity in the traditional sectors of textile, ready-made garments, leather and footwear in the MED region by stimulating growth through technological, managerial and operational innovation. The project is promoting the connection of these sectors with the creative industries through initiatives and activities on a local and international scale.

ARCA showcased the CRE@CTIVE project, alongside RE-FREAM, CoART, and CWEAR+, three other European funded projects for the fashion industry, in a seminar titled "The European Union in support of the creativity of the territories". The participation of the project gave the young talents the opportunity to become part of an international network that connects companies, artisans and research centres that innovate in the fashion sector.

The CRE@CTIVE project will soon offer professionals, creatives, SMEs and start-ups the opportunity to access a grant. Beneficiaries will also have access to mentoring services and state-of-the-art technologies to develop innovative and creative business models with high market potential that benefit the MED industry.
