BERLIN’s pilot project in Italy and the associated benefits in making public buildings more self-resilient, were once again stressed at the 1st edition of the MED-Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (IAERE) conference, held on the 23rd of April 2022 in the framework of the 10th IAERE annual conference.

The aim of the conference was to gather researchers that work on environmental problems in the Mediterranean area and reinforce cooperation to achieve an environmental and sustainable development in the Mediterranean.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, but the poster session, during which BERLIN project was presented by the team of researchers from the University of Cagliari, was arranged at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cagliari.

More than 100 researchers from Italy and different European countries attended the conference and were informed about the BERLIN activities, the status of the pilot projects, their replicability and the potential benefits they can add to the sustainable development of the Mediterranean region.
