On January 10-11, 2023 representatives of all MoreThanAJob partners had the opportunity to meet in Karak, Jordan to discuss the project’s progress and the plan for the next final steps. This was the third time that the partners could all meet in person after the kick-off meeting in 2019. The technical and financial meeting was organized by Mutah University and held at its facilities. On the second day of the meeting, the partners took part in two field visits to study successful cases of social and solidarity economy initiatives in Jordan.

The partners got the chance to visit the Jordanian-funded sub-granted projects implemented by Shihan Charity Association (SCA) and the Applied Scientific Research Fund (ASRF) and they got inspired by their success stories as well as reflected on the challenges they faced during the implementation of project activities.

The visit started at the Dairy Product Factory located in Al Qaser, north of Karak where the unemployed women and refugees got their practical training. One of the trainers showed the partners the factory and presented the main process of producing the dairy product. He also explained how they provided the training to the women during the training period which took place on the 12th of May 2022 for two weeks.

There were 4 women from the training group in the factory. They described the main sessions they got during the training. also they explained the achieved goals from the training and how they benefited from it during their producing the dairy product.

The partners had the chance to get to know 2 success stories who started new businesses based on the dairy product. Jameed, a typical Jordanian dry yogurt made of sheep or goat milk, and traditional butter samples were introduced to the partners.
