The course, the third of its kind under the YEP MED project in Civitavecchia, will be taught in a hybrid mode. It will start on January 26th and end on February 16th  2023.

41 participants from two institutes, ITS Academy 'Fondazione G.Caboto' GLIPS (Integrated Logistics Management and Shipping Processes) and ITS Academy MO.ST. (Sustainable Mobility) in Ortona have registered. For three weeks, the students will attend the 75-hour training course using the virtual educational management software of a port community created specifically for the project called PortVirtualLab – developed by Click&Cargo. Thanks to this innovative tool they will be able to simulate import-export operations within a digital port environment. This type of digital and practical experience will help prepare the students for the challenges that can arise in working environments related to transport and logistics in the Mediterranean region.

At the same time, the III edition of the Vocational Training will be attended by students from higher technical institutes of Barcelona, Tunis and Beirut with a total of around 200 students from the four countries. Like those of the previous editions, this course will end with a full day dedicated to visiting the terminals of the port logistics area of Civitavecchia and with the awarding of diplomas at the headquarters of the Port Authority of the Central-Northern Tyrrhenian Sea.

The course will be followed in the coming months by a final training reserved for NEETs; unemployed men and women who will be approaching the port logistics sector for the first time to have the opportunity to find employment in one of the fastest growing sectors
