An awareness-raising campaign on water use and management hit the roads of Beirut with a mobile learning bus that visited four underprivileged schools in the area in December 2022. The Grade 3 students of Ibn Roshod School, Rawdat Al Ighatha School, Al Yarmouk School, and Al Bayader School were all enthusiastic to learn about water conservation and the importance of proper management. The interactive campaign taught 180 students about the water cycle, with hands-on activities such as water filtration experiments and games about water usage. They were exposed to concepts and technologies they had never heard of, which kept them interested in the discussions. The initiative aimed to instill the value of water conservation in children, encouraging them to take an active role in preserving this vital resource.

Teaching kids about water awareness is essential for several reasons. Firstly, it helps to instill good habits early on, which can have a lasting impact on their behavior, as they grow older. Secondly, it raises awareness about water scarcity and the importance of preserving this vital resource. Finally, it can empower children to take an active role in conserving water, giving them a sense of responsibility over this important issue.

The mobile learning bus played a crucial role in the success of the campaign as well. By bringing the campaign to the schools, it reduced the barriers to participation and made it more accessible for the students. The bus also provided a unique and engaging way to teach the students about water conservation, making the learning experience more interactive and memorable. Additionally, the mobility of the bus allowed the campaign to reach a wider audience, increasing the impact and scope of the initiative. Overall, the mobile learning bus was a vital component of the campaign, helping to make the message of water conservation accessible, engaging, and effective.
The campaign was a huge success, with the children eager to share what they learned with their families and friends.
