The MedTOWN project in Tunisia opens a call for proposals to grant initiatives for pilot projects in co-production initiatives

The Tunisian partner of MedTOWN project, Tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship TCSE has published a call for applications to grant a total of 60,000 euros to fund co production initiatives with Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) entities in Tunisia.

The aim of the call is to support co-production initiatives that address poverty, inequality and social exclusion in collaboration with a Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) entity and a local public authority. The objective is to prove that the co-production model delivers better quality social services and makes public spending more effective and efficient. 

Entities within the spectrum of the SSE sector, which have the specific characteristic of producing goods, services and knowledge while pursuing economic and social objectives and fostering solidarity, can apply. The pilot projects must be located in Tunis, Ariana, Manouba, Ben Arous,Kairouan and Mahdia. 

With the project, TCSE is working to democratize women’s access to economic knowledge and to ensure their economic emancipation. With the collaboration of local actors TCSE will seek to engage female entrepreneurs and workers in the public sphere, enhance their digital skills, enable them to be financially autonomous in a sustainable manner and increase the visibility of their products and services offline and online. The present call of proposals aims to fund activities related to gender equality, youth employment, education and training and activities that promote cultural heritage.

Interested entities and organisations can present their project proposals until the 5th of May 2023 by 18:00 Tunis time to apply for funding.
