COMMON project: training day with Italian fishermen

On June 5, 2021, the COMMON project with its Italian CIHEAMBari staff, organized the training seminar "Plastic waste in the marine environment: good practices and the involvement of fishermen in the fight against marine litter and coastal pollution" together at the University of Salento within the COMMON and Bonsea projects.

The meeting intends to deepen the problems of marine litter and the impact on marine and coastal ecosystems as well as sharing and disseminating good practices relating to the management of the phenomenon.

Present at the meeting were the fishermen of Italians from the municipalities of Tricase, Castro, S. Maria di Leuca, Otranto and Santa Cesarea and experts and bodies involved in the management of the marine environment.
