FruitFlyNet-ii in Italy demonstrates the benefits of e-traps for better crops and food quality
Better quality of crops, productivity growth, reduction of agricultural costs with the strategic project FruitFlyNet-ii, the focus is on the ecologically effective control of parasites in olive, peach, and citrus crops so widespread in Mediterranean countries. The experiments were initiated with the FruitFlyNet project, funded under the ENPI CBC MED 2007-2013 Program, through the monitoring of olive and fruit flies.

MedTOWN in Palestine to implement a complementary currency to promote citizen's involvement in waste management
MedTOWN project is co-producing a new community of solid waste management system based on a circular economy model using a complementary currency (CC), in the municipality of Beitillo (District of Ramallah, Palestine). The local currency will work as an incentive to both encourage waste separation and as a mechanism to increase the economic capacity of vulnerable economic groups.

DECOST project is being implemented also en Greece!
The University of Patras is part of the DECOST consortium, and although they do not have a pilot located in Greece, their participation at the technical level has been very important to define the technical and logistical aspects of the implementation of the community composting pilots in Spain, Jordan, Palestine and Italy. For this reason, among others, Professor Yorgos Stephanedes from UPatras was invited by the Greek TV channel Tpress to talk about this and other projects in which they are involved.
