RE-MED promotes the use of construction waste for the environment and job creation

Just 10% reuse in nations while the targets are set at 70%! The figures call for deeper investigation. In the European union, 30% of annual waste production comes from the construction and demolition sector. Low reuse figures present a systemic danger to both the natural biosphere and to human health and if increased could be associated with huge benefits in nations suffering from a lack of natural resources for construction. Not only does the use of construction and demolition waste in construction offer a method to conserve natural resources but it also steers the economy through creating local jobs.
