RESTART MED! helped with the organization of the Regenerative Tourism event in Catalonia

More than 500 people have benefitted from the Regenerative tourism event in Barcelona that received the support of RESTART MED!

RESTART-MED! helped with the organisation of the Regenerative Tourism event that took place in Barcelona on the 23rd of September 2022 and was hosted by the Catalan Tourist Board and NECSTouR.
The event showcased how tourism destinations and businesses are working towards a “value driven” tourism model which contributes to the wellbeing of the community (society, environment and business), while also contributing to the European Commission's recently released Tourism Transition Pathways.

With 27 speakers, the ceremony opened with a speech from the renowned expert Anna Pollock and included contributions from academics, business owners, the public sector and non-for-profit, including an activist who took the change to put the focus on the flying carbon emissions.

More than 160 people attended the event in la Pedrera, Barcelona. Online the numbers increased and is currently viewed via YouTube by more than 400 people.
