U-SOLVE was able to attract as many innovative ideas as possible and to maximize the impact of foreseen capacity building activities. Following this methodology, calls for applicants have been issued for both steps, including guidelines, templates, model contract and evaluation criteria.
2.8.1_Catalogue of innovations multifunctional olive systems & grazed woodlands Greece
Having identified potentially useful innovations for Mediterranean multifunctional olive systems and grazed woodlands, the partners of LIVINGAGRO project developed a dedicated Catalogue intended to provide an overview of some of the innovations that may be useful to stakeholders involved with multifunctional olive systems and grazed woodlands, in order to help bring together economic stakeholders and innovators who may be able to collaborate to solve common problems. This activity included assessing the stage of readiness of a potential innovation in Greece, as well as which type of challenges it addresses.
Taking into consideration the needs expressed by Greek stakeholders, the research team of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) and the technical team reviewed the information provided. Following this review, the working group went back to the innovators to address questions and fill in gaps, then incorporated the responses into the innovation descriptions. The Catalogue includes innovations related to intercropping in olive groves, precision agriculture, machinery, health benefit determination, olive tree and olive oil authentication, preparation for climate change and re-use of traditional practices in agroforestry.
Integrated Municipal Waste Management Plan - Municipality of Sestri Levante (Italy)

MedArtSal Handbook of good practices for coastal salt pans - final report
The MedArtSal project promotes the sustainable development of artisanal salinas in Italy, Spain, Lebanon and Tunisia, through the MedArtSal Model, which identifies and encourages the adoption of innovative sustainable actions in Mediterranean artisanal saltworks. This handbook provides information, research and innovative tools on sustainable actions that fall under the MedArtSal Model and support good practices and efforts in the salt flats through diversification of services, commerce, biodiversity preservation, ecosystem services and tourism. There are four sections covering key topics, including environmental quality and biodiversity, the diversification of goods and services in salt flats, best practices for governance and a final section showcasing case studies of salinas projects funded under MedArtSal in Italy, Lebanon, Spain and Tunisia.

This document contains the methodology guidelines for the pilot clustering intervention for WP5 (work package 5), wich is the project work-package that tests previous outcomes, by translating all project gathered city circular economy data, into a pilot project to be implemented through a pre-identified cluster road map strategy. The document illustrates the results obtained during the execution of the INNOMED-UP project in the pilots implemented in Greece, Italy, Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan.
Clustering smart tools
By building on their common identity and by integrating into their productive schemes the principles of the circular economy, Mediterranean cities can create resilient urban environments and communities, establishing a supportive framework for CCI SMEs clustering.
This document contains the description of clustering smart tools as were proposed in the framework of the INNOMED-UP Project, together with Activities and Outputs they fall within. Tools concern designing a smart bicycle and building a prototype, developing a Central Information System, designing a smart garbage bin and building a prototype, developing an open source repository for circular designs and eco design toolkits, reproducing clustering smart tools in each case study and testing.
CCI SMEs’ clustering roadmaps for each city

The project works at a cross-border level supporting both technological developments and traditional recycling practices.
This documents contains a drafting of 6 clustering roadmaps, one per each participating city (Athens, Prato, Palermo, Tunis, Hebron and Nablus Cities, Irbid). For each of them there is an illustratation of the analysis of components and layers based on the survey, the roadmap strategy development and its implementation.
