Meet iHERITAGE Project Partner "Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship and Creativity"

Today we get to meet Dr. Samih Abu Bakir, Vice President of our partner institution, Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship and Creativity (JSSREC).

JSSREC was founded in 1999 with a strong desire to educate Jordanians about the importance of scientific research. The society's principal aim is to devote itself to and promote Jordanian scientific research while also bringing attention to various scientific hot topics through cultural events and activities. JSSREC participates in and receives grants from a variety of projects and activities sponsored by local and international institutions of entrepreneurship and creativity, including multiple projects within the ENI CBC MED Program, in order to keep up with the latest developments in science and research.

JSSREC's goal as an iHERITAGE partner is to assist in the application of cutting-edge ICT solutions for the enhancement of the interpretation of UNESCO world heritage, promote cross-border technological transfer through Living Labs, industry-academic collaboration, and the creation of spin-offs as well as develop new products aiming to create job opportunities for young people, women, and those with little or no prior education or training in Jordan.
