According to the European Commission, the Blue Economy concerns "all economic activities related to oceans, seas and coasts. Blue economy covers a wide range of interlinked established and emerging sectors".
As the Green Economy model, the blue one aims at improving human health, social equity, reducing environmental risks and preserving sea resources.
